Fashion’s Night Out 2011: The Guide

Fashion's Night Out is giving shoppers a sneak peek of the style-centered events set to hit more than 250 U.S. cities on September 8.
Photographed by Craig McDean and sporting a gray FNO tee, model Karlie Kloss is the face of the third annual event, which this year will be adding more than 200 e-tailers to the festivities.
But while an online shopping spree from the comfort of your couch is all well and good, the jam-packed event schedule should prove too good to pass up.
As the newly launched FashionsNightOut.com reveals, New York participants can download the FNO NYC Guide app to plan their shopping itinerary, making stops at shops like Bloomingdale's, Agent Provocateur, and Scoop NYC for parties, meet-and-greets, styling sessions, campaign launches, live music, makeup consultations, and more.
As Volkswagen's Style Express ferries you from one shopping destination to the next, keep your eyes peeled for scheduled appearances by designers inlcuding Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, Michael Kors, Donna Karan, Zac Posen, Eddie Borgo, and Tommy Hilfiger as well as style heavy hitters such as Rachel Zoe, Christina Hendricks, Lara Stone, Tilda Swinton, the Victoria's Secret Angels, and Heidi Klum, who will be on hand as QVC broadcasts live from Soho.
Get primped at Gansevoort Plaza's Maybelline New York Color Studio Hot Spot, blog from the Lenovo Connections Lounge at Saks Fifth Avenue, track down Barbie in a city-wide mobile scavenger hunt, download Net-a-Porter's The Window Shop app to instantly buy (or win) items online, or snatch up the Vogue-designed FNO apparel collection, 40% percent of which will benefit The New York City AIDS Fund in the New York Community Trust.
Not in NYC? Don't feel left out. Whether you're enjoying gourmet trucks, free Ferris Wheel rides, and endless shopping on Rodeo Drive, looking out for the FNO hot air balloon in Georgetown, or strutting down "North America's longest fashion runway" in Dallas, there are plenty of happenings to help you get in on the action.
