Christina Hendricks Reveals Style Secrets, Spring Essentials to London Fog
Whether she’s sashaying on the small screen as Mad Men’s Joan Harris or turning heads at an awards ceremony, Christina Hendricks always looks drop-dead gorgeous. Now the London Fog spokesperson is opening up to the outerwear and luggage brand about how she stays sexy on the red carpet and on the go.
Rule No. 1: If you want to be chic, keep it sleek. In her exclusive Q&A with the company, Hendricks reveals that her biggest style secrets are “perfect tailoring, undergarments, and attention to detail.” That’s not to say she doesn’t need a little help. When it comes to getting glam for galas and premieres, Hendricks calls in makeup artist Vanessa Scali, hairstylist Jen Atkin, and stylist Lawren Sample—but the ravishing redhead prefers to turn her prep time into a party.
“Before I go to an event and walk the red carpet, my girlfriends and my mother come over and we visit and eat and have coffee while I get my hair and makeup done,” she says. “We try to stay relaxed and make it fun.”
That casual attitude extends to her travel attire: Hendricks keeps the contents of her London Fog suitcase simple, packing only “one pair of walking shoes, one pair of comfortable heels, little black dress, book for the trip, makeup bag, pair of jeans and blouse,” she says. “This should get me anywhere."
And her favorite destinations? “Paris, Greece, Idaho, Palm Springs!”
With spring's arrival, Hendricks is going for an effortlessly elegant look. Among her must-have items this season: a feminine, floral and lace dress, coral lipstick, sun block, and “[a] London Fog classic beige trench to throw over anything.”
But of course!
