Updos took a backseat as starlets let their hair down for the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Mila Kunis—stunning in a fiery red Alexander McQueen gown that even Oscar de la Renta couldn't criticize—was among those opting for a free-flowing look. The actress's long brunette waves added a bohemian touch to her fashion-forward dress.
Tousled waves with a rocker edge were also on the menu for a de la Renta-clad Lea Michele and Kyra Sedgwick, who donned a vampy strapless black vintage Thierry Mugler couture dress for the ceremony.
Julia Stiles went the Veronica Lake route with her blonde ringlets, while Sofia Vergara, flashing some killer curves in a sexy blue Roberto Cavalli number, and Prada-clad newcomer Hailee Steinfeld had identical dark center-parted waves.
Hilary Swank and Christina Hendricks (in Versace and L'Wren Scott, respectively) both favored retro, chunky shoulder-length curls with generous teasing, while Claire Danes—who hit the red carpet in a gorgeous floral-printed Louis Vuitton—opted for a softer blowout.
