Michael Kors Jewelry - First Look
Michael Kors and accessories are such a natural fit (um, those watches!), one has to wonder why a collection of baubles hasn’t happened already.
The designer has partnered with Fossil to launch his first collection of jewelry for Fall 2011, and it’s everything you’d imagine it to be: bold but timeless, sporty but perfectly pairable with a glamorous Michael Kors evening gown.
In a video (above) introducing his new collection, the Project Runway judge explains that chunky chain necklaces and bracelets, buckle-inspired designs, and architectural pieces can be like having your own art collection.
“If you can’t afford to collect sculpture or modern art, you can afford to have an incredible pair of silver cuffs, and incredible sculptural ring, oversize stones but worn in a much more casual way,” says Kors. “Those kinds of things automatically give a more modern edge to anything you’re wearing.”
The Michael Kors jewelry collection, which includes earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings, will range from $100 to $500 and will initially be sold at select Michael Kors boutiques.
