Agyness Deyn Covers Elle U.K. Model Issue Guest-Edited by Frida Giannini
Fancy meeting you again!
After taking a time-out to run the London Marathon and stretch her acting skills, Agyness Deyn is returning to her roots by fronting Elle U.K.'s October Model Issue.
With her signature platinum pixie-cut back in business, the British model—who also recently posed for the magazine's American edition—rocks a black leather top from Gucci's Resort 2012 collection in a nod to creative director Frida Giannini, who guest-edited the issue.
An accompanying fashion spread shot by lensman David Slijper also sees the Henry Holland muse sporting a gold metallic skirt, sequins galore, and Acne's leather overalls.
"We wanted to take her away from a tomboyish or punky look, and we wanted to make her look a lot more womanly," art director Tom Murphy says in a behind-the-scenes video.
"We really wanted to concentrate on more grown-up, womanly clothes, and really get that shape. She's got a really strong body shape."
Models Joan Smalls and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will also make cover turns for the issue. Talk about a triple threat!
