Sleek peek: The new Gucci Style app
Ultra-glamorous runway style? There's an app for that.
Almost two years after launching its first application, the good folks at Gucci are upping the ante with a brand-new offering for iPads and iPhones.
Available for download now, Gucci Style by Gucci is billed as "an exclusive digital shopping magazine" chock-full of exclusive content, behind-the-scenes extras, fashion shoots, and (now you're talking) access to creative director Frida Giannini's vintage vinyl collection. (Hey, anyone who's this obsessed with Florence Welch should know a thing or two about good tunes.)
The app, offered in eight languages, also marks the first time iPad users can make purchases from the label's Digital Flagship Store.
While you're mulling over which of Fall 2011's color-saturated gowns to buy first, click over to the app's other features, which includes shoppable video fashion shoots; a "Behind the Craft" vignette highlighting the craftsmanship behind the Bamboo bag; an interview with Gucci equestrian Edwina Alexander; a travel guide to Italy; and fashion insights from Giannini as well as her aforementioned playlist.
Hope you weren't planning on getting any work done today ...
