Beyoncé Covers Harper’s Bazaar, Talks Maternity Line, Still Rocking Stilettos, and Kate Moss

Beyoncé, still bumping and grinding, on her two Harper’s Bazaar November covers.
The hottest bump in Hollywood is ready for its close-up.
A pregnant Beyoncé takes "hot mama" to the next level with her beyond-sexy cover shoot for the November issue of Harper's Bazaar, which sees her channeling Tina Turner in a metallic Reed Krakoff minidress and wild, airborne waves.
Looking more Pop Star Glamazon than Pea in the Pod, the still-svelte singer poses for lensman Terry Richardson in sexy numbers including a Salvatore Ferragamo metallic fringed jacket (for the subscriber cover), Fendi fur coat, Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit, and (suck it, stretch marks) Chanel Cruise Antibes swimsuit.
Given those racy getups, it should come as no surprise that the star is busy designing a maternity collection and keeping her eyes out for bump-friendly fashions that go beyond stretchy yoga pants.
"All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman," she tells the magazine. "It's been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering, but I still rock my stilettos.
She also opens up about her big bump reveal at the VMAs, where she wore an orange Lanvin caftan that showed off her new curves.
"I put a lot of thought into how I wanted to unveil it," she says. "It was important to me that I was able to do it myself ... I was extremely nervous. It was the toughest red carpet I ever did.
"I didn't want a crazy picture or gossip story to break the news, so I decided to say nothing and proudly show my baby bump. I felt it was more powerful to see the love and enthusiasm as opposed to saying anything."
Speaking of timing, the proud mom-to-be also explains why she waited, after 10 years with hubby Jay-Z, until now to have a baby.
"It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship, and my self-worth, before I became a mother,” she says. “Now God has blessed us with the ultimate.”
She also gushes about Jay-Z, saying, "if you are with the right person, it brings out the best version of you."
"We have been together since I was 20 years old," she continues. "We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married. I admire his ability to inspire others. To me, Jay represents the American dream. Jay’s music has helped define our generation. All that he has overcome and worked to achieve gives millions hope that they can become whatever they want to be. I respect him so much; he is a great man and a great artist.”
Aww. And we concur.
Yet, when it comes to matters of style, she's given her heart to someone else: Kate Moss.
“I love Kate Moss," she declares. "I think she has great style. And I always admire Victoria Beckham and Gisele. Their style is modern but always classic.”
The same could be said of Sasha Fierce herself, whose style earns praise from designers like Tom Ford, Azzedine Alaïa, and Riccardo Tisci, who says, "I want to have goose bumps when I see her back in Givenchy [post-pregnancy]."
Don't worry, Ricky. If we know our girl, she'll find a way to squeeze that bump into some Givenchy no matter what.
