Angelina Jolie in Ferragamo at Cannes
Angelina Jolie put it in neutral for her first Cannes Film Festival photo call May 12: She wore sand-colored Salvatore Ferragamo from head to perfectly shod toe while promoting her film Kung Fu Panda 2.
The knee-length chiffon dress had a casual, beach-friendly glamour, with a surplice neckline and delicate cap sleeves. Ferragamo tweaked a design from its Resort 2011 collection, whipping it up in a new hue and fabric. Jolie cranked up the wattage with an emerald ring and bracelet.
Echoing the Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2011 runway looks, she wore a thin, tan belt and nude, round-toe, patent leather pumps. Fittingly enough, Ferragamo’s collection was inspired by a French film, La Piscine.
The mother of six seems to have become quite a fan of Ferragamo since wearing the Italian brand in her last film, The Tourist. For that role, the label custom-designed a pair of gold-heeled pumps named after her character, Elise.
