With all due respect to Baby Girl Beckham, there's one new arrival that really has us passing around cigars and busting out the bubbly.

Victoria Beckham, who is due to give birth in July, has announced that she's got another big project in the works: a second dress line to be called Victoria by Victoria Beckham, Women's Wear Daily reports.

Billed as her "girliest, youngest, and most accessible" offering yet, Victoria will retail between $500 and $900 when it makes its Spring 2012 début with a collection inspired by ... cat-loving cartoon heroine Emily the Strange?

“These are the kind of dresses I’ve been searching for,” says Beckham, adding that she only makes what she herself would wear. “The perfect little summer dress, something that was fun, something that was girly, something that was easy to wear, something that would take you from day through the night.

"Where I am currently, I like a more modern attitude. Also, it means that I’m opening these designs to women and girls of all different shapes and sizes, people who maybe want something less tight and clingy and structured."

Boasting Emily-inspired style names like "Cutey Cat" and "Victoria Cat," the playful, '60s-esque line is heavy on scalloped edging, bright hues like watermelon and emerald, and drop-waist skirts. The voluminous, shift-y cuts also mark a major departure from her usual form-fitting designs (perhaps inspired by her current pregnancy?).

Created to help the Victoria Beckham label avoid becoming too "niche," the new line should appeal to a more contemporary following. The line forms to the left, ladies.
