Jay-Z, a longtime fashion heavy hitter, has just launched a lifestyle Web site, Life + Times, which covers everything from sports to music to style—and one particularly insidery figure has already made her début on the site: illustrator, blogger, street-style photographer, and very public Sartorialist girlfriend Garance Doré.

In the short interview, we’re introduced to Doré’s clothing go-to (Repetto ballet flats), the first designer who made her fall in love with fashion (Yves Saint Laurent), and the method to her street snapping: “It’s a certain connection to a person or a place,” she says.

A few more fashionable tidbits:

L+T: Which three people would write, design and narrate the book of your life?

GD: Woody Allen would write it, Dries Van Noten would design it, and Anjelica Huston would narrate it.

L+T: What’s the most fashionable place you’ve ever been?

GD: Anna Dello Russo’s closet.

L+T: Who are three artists in your iPod that you’ll never take out?

GD: Leonard Cohen, Serge Gainsbourg, Destiny’s Child.

We might not have pegged Doré as a Destiny’s Child fan—wonder if the online publication’s patron has anything to do with that answer?
