Beyoncé Wears Givenchy in ‘Run the World (Girls)’ Video
In her new video “Run the World (Girls),” Beyoncé reigns supreme in a long white dress from the Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
The goddess-worthy white tulle number features quilted and appliquéd feather motifs in pale primrose shades and white silk chiffon, georgette, satin, and lace. A pompadoured Beyoncé pairs the gown with a matching sleeveless jacket with a quilted chartreuse silk-satin back and gold-perforated leather sandals.
Besides the ethereal Givenchy ensemble—which also appears on the promo art for the “Run the World (Girls)” single—Beyoncé rocks several other fashion-forward getups in the futuristic video, which sees the superstar leading a battalion of women in a war against men.
In one scene, she is shown in a bright yellow dress with Sergio Rossi Talisman gladiator boots; in another, she wears a black bra and black Norma Kamali fringed shorts with a giant gold headdress.
The video for “Run the World (Girls),” the first song off Beyoncé’s forthcoming album 4, premieres May 13. Get a sneak peek above.
