A look from the Givenchy Spring/Summer 2010 Haute Couture collection

The John Galliano/Dior drama has spawned one rumor after another. But this latest buzz has us clutching our pearls and imagining the worst.

Fashion CEO Susan Tabak is claiming that Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci and his PR team will depart for Dior, putting an end to—gasp!—Givenchy's Haute Couture collection.

"Sources tell me as Riccardo Tisci moves to Dior—his PR staff goes along too," Tabak tweeted March 13. "Who will be replaced at Givenchy? And PR? And now I hear Givenchy Haute Couture—finito."

Say it isn't so!

Worn by an all-Asian cast of models, the label's Spring/Summer 2011 Japan-inspired Haute Couture collection won rave reviews, and actress Cate Blanchett landed on the 2011 Oscars best-dressed list with her lavender Givenchy Haute Couture gown. It would be a major loss not only to the fashion house's legacy but also to the industry as a whole.

Luckily, a source close to Givenchy dismisses the idea, giving us hope that this rumor is just that—a rumor.
