Met Ball 2012 Trend: Canary Island

For those who didn't opt for shocking pink or shimmering gold, the notice-me hue was a popular choice at the 2012 Met Costume Institute gala.
January Jones looked decidedly un-Betty Francis in bodycon Versace, while Coco Rocha went retro in a vintage Givenchy pantsuit that once belonged to Elizabeth Taylor. Two more guests who were mellow in yellow: Solange Knowles in a peplumed Rachel Roy creation and Emma Roberts in goldenrod Escada. One notch off on the color wheel was Ginnifer Goodwin, in a bold orange Monique Lhuillier gown.
