Met Ball 2012 Trend: Peplum Squad

Linda Evangelista, Elizabeth Banks, and Sofia Vergara's hips don't lie.
Peplums have been all over the runway and they made their transition to the red carpet at tonight's Met Costume Institute Gala.
Solange Knowles (in canary yellow Rachel Roy), was the first to jump on the trend. Elizabeth Banks was stunning in a Mary Katrantzou design that was fashion-forward without veering into Effie Trinket territory. Linda Evangelista wore the designer of the night, Prada, in sculptural black. A Marchesa-clad Sofia Vergara, Amy Poehler, and Emma Roberts in Escada rounded out the evening's peplum rally.
