While the Duchess of Cambridge's cover shot features a stock image of the royal wearing a lavender pleated gown by (who else?) McQueen last year, YSL Manifesto frontwoman Chastain poses for the September subscriber issue in a steely gray number with a plunging neckline.
Naturally, the two both made the cut when it came to fleshing out the magazine's annual International Best-Dressed List. While Chastain is praised for her "understated elegance," Middleton is dubbed a "one-woman style force." No argument here!
Meanwhile, a hearty congratulations goes to Bill Cunningham. The legendary style photographer also earned best-dressed honors, as did Diane Kruger, Stella McCartney, Prada Candy campaign star Lea Seydoux, Jay-Z, Colin and Livia Firth, Tom Brady, Charlotte Casiraghi, Alicia Keys, Fan Bingbing, Alice + Olivia's Stacey Bendet, Elettra Wiedemann, Burberry babe Eddie Redmayne, and—hey!—the Duchess's own brother-in-law, Prince Harry.
Time to step up your game, Wills.
