Rachel Zoe Designing Children’s Clothing Line
Little Skyler Morrison Berman may have a walk-in closet packed with Gucci and Missoni togs and a Louis Vuitton bag, but his mom Rachel Zoe thinks he can do better.
The star stylist, who gave birth in March, appeared on ABC's Nightline to announce that she's launching a children's clothing line after being disappointed with the limited designer options for little boys.
"Let me tell you, there is going to be a lot of boys' clothes in my line," she tells interviewer Juju Chang.
Though details are still scarce regarding the name of the line and its launch date, we're holding out for Brad Goreski-inspired baby bow ties and perhaps a mini fur vest or two. Hey, if you're going to compete with Lanvin, Versace, Gucci, and Gwen Stefani, you've got to bring out the big guns.
The interview also sees Zoe waxing poetic about how motherhood has changed her—starting with her closet. In addition to scaling back her Fashion Week appearances, the proud mama is baby-proofing her wardrobe by wearing less jewelry, avoiding sequins (which "can hurt his face"), and refusing to walk with him in her arms if she's wearing sky-high heels.
"I never thought I could love something more than my husband, but I look at Rodger and I love him," says Zoe, who also has her own womenswear line. "But I look at my child and my eyes fill with water.
"Every decision that I make, Skyler's in my mind. How much [time] is this away from him, can I take him with me ... I'm not going to candy-coat it, it's a lot. And there are times where I just want to go into my closet, close the door, take my baby in there with me, and be like, 'Everything needs to stop, like, right now, I need to slow this party down.'"
Good luck with that!
