Nine West is really ramping up its collaborations. Following Sophie Theallet's turn as guest designer (in stores now), Giles Deacon has signed on to create some amazing pieces for the brand. I headed over to the Standard for a meet and greet, where I also got a sneak preview of Nine West's upcoming offerings. 

It's a strange time to be thinking about coats, but eventually Fall will come. And finding the right coat is my shopping nightmare. I get overloaded with options and at the last minute, when it's already snowing out, I pick whatever's nearest. But this year I'm making a list, and Armani Exchange's wool peacoat ($225) is on it. It's simple, cut to flatter, and looks more like a wool blazer than a boring old peacoat.

Going to Gucci's showroom and playing with the merchandise is like a childhood dream come true. Who wouldn't want to ogle the accessories and clothes up close and in person?

The Fall 2011 offerings feature reissued and retro-inspired pieces. I'm seriously coveting the 1921 New Jackie bag ($3,250), which was produced in honor of the Italian brand's 90^th anniversary. I'm a sucker for good leather, and this one comes in a really rich burgundy—with tassels (on trend!).
