Nine West Taps Sophie Theallet and Giles Deacon for 'Shoelaborations'

Shoe obsessives, prepare to be on Cloud Nine ... West.
The mega retailer is reaching out to the runway by way of two new designer collaborations with Giles Deacon and Sophie Theallet, WWD reports.
As part of Nine West's new "Shoelaborations" initiative, Theallet will debut "fresh and feminine" shoes, handbags and accessories on May 1, while Deacon's "futuristic, modern and exciting" low-priced collection is due out in the fall.
"For the collection I designed my own stripe print, which you will see interpreted on a ballet flat, a raffia wedge and a double platform sandal," Theallet teases.
"I also designed little straw bags with charms representing icons of France."
