On second thought... The Duchess has been added to nominees up for British Style Award.

Think you can snub the best-dressed woman in Britain and get away with it? Think again.

After initially being left off the shortlist of nominees for the British Fashion Council's British Style Award, the Duchess has managed to secure a spot following public outcry over her exclusion.

The slight also sparked a Telegraph article entitled "Kate Middleton Needs Your Style Vote," which questioned the BFC's "baffling" decision. Now, that wrong has been righted.

"The shortlist for the British Style Award was compiled by the judging panel as their recommendations," a BFC spokesperson tells FashionEtc. "The list is by no means definitive and we welcome suggestions from the British public to nominate any individual who embodies the creative spirit of London."

Catherine will now vie for the award—whose winner will be announced on November 28—alongside fellow style stars like Adele, Emma Watson, Florence Welch, Lara Stone, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, and last year's winner, Alexa Chung.

Will the brunette beauty's popularity and support of U.K. labels like Burberry, Alexander McQueen, and Reiss give her an edge? We'll soon find out ...
