Kate Middleton Tops Harper's Bazaar Best-Dressed List
She may "only" be a duchess now, but when it comes to British style Catherine is the undisputed queen.
The brunette royal has beaten out the likes of Kate Moss and Emma Watson to top Harper's Bazaar U.K. Best-Dressed List 2011 thanks to her support of British designers and savvy mix of high-street labels like Reiss and runway favorites.
And, of course, there's that wedding dress ...
"She gave us the year’s–if not the century’s–most thrilling fashion moment," says editor-in-chief Lucy Yeomans, who selected the list along with milliner Philip Treacy (who played a crucial role in the royal wedding) as well as designers Roksanda Illincic and Antonio Berardi.
While the Duchess of Cambridge was praised for her “incredible style evolution that has gripped us all," other notable Brits earned raves as well. Florence Welch came in second, while actress Andrea Riseborough, Kate Moss, Tilda Swinton, Keira Knightley, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Alexa Chung, and Livia (wife of Colin) Firth rounded out the top 10.
All this and a prince too? Some girls have all the luck.

Meanwhile, Catherine didn't initially make the shortlist for a British Fashion Council Style Award.
