Royal Wedding Hats: Princess Beatrice and More Wear Philip Treacy Toppers

Princess Eugenie, Zara Phillips, and Princess Beatrice all sporting Philip Treacy hats at the royal wedding.
After months of secrecy, star milliner Philip Treacy's dramatic hats have finally come out for the royal wedding.
Treacy, who recently told FashionEtc that "these [royals] are my customers," backed that statement by designing hats for the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie.
While William's cousin Beatrice paired her skyscraping, ribbon-inspired topper with a matching pinkish-beige Valentino Couture number and Cornelia James gloves, her sister, Eugenie, wore a bold blue pillbox hat embellished with a purple rose and a flurry of gray feathers alongside her blue floral-print Vivienne Westwood.

Camilla chose a more traditional wide-brimmed hat in cream to complement her champagne and duck-egg blue ensemble by Anna Valentine, who also designed the outfit the Duchess wore at her 2005 wedding to Prince Charles.
Fashion royalty was also seen in Treacy's creations. Both Victoria Beckham—wearing a dress from her own label—and husband David sought the milliner's services for her midnight blue pillbox hat with crystal spikes and his satin top hat.
"I make hats for royalty from all over the world because they wear hats, and I've worked with them for 15 years," Treacy told FashionEtc.
He's not kidding. Zara Phillips (wearing gunmetal Paul Costelloe and a dramatic "flying saucer"–style hat), the Duchess of Westminster (in Bruce Oldfield), HRH Princess Michael of Kent, HRH Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, HRH Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, and HRH Princess Mathilde of Belgium (in a Giorgio Armani Privé cocktail dress in mirror-effect petrol blue silk organza, worn with a jacket) were among those in Treacy toppers.
Meanwhile, mother-of-the-bride Carole Middleton sported a hat from Jane Corbett to go with her Catherine Walker outfit.
