Carole Middleton Royal Wedding Dress: Catherine Walker
Carole Middleton, after firing her original couture designer Lindka Cierach, has decided to wear a pale blue coatdress by Catherine Walker. Princess Diana was photographed several times in Walker’s designs.
The mother-of-the-bride dress features satin piping at the waist and short pleated sleeves. Her wide-brimmed hat was designed by Jane Corbett.
A few weeks ago it was confirmed that Mrs. Middleton requested that her outfit be delivered to her home unfinished and Cierach refused.
Feeling that the designer, who created Sarah Ferguson’s wedding dress in 1986, was being “unreasonable,” Mrs. Middleton decided not to wear the outfit and commissioned a new design by the Catherine Walker label.
