The Man Repeller couldn’t keep Adweek away—she tops its Fashion Power 25 list.

Sorry, Anna Wintour, but you’ve been served.

The Vogue editor may have some serious fashion industry pull, but she was bested to the top spot on AdWeek’s Fashion’s Power 25 list by an unlikely newcomer: The Man Repeller.

Sartorial adventurer Leandra Medine was cited for her design collaborations and It blog in the roundup of the style world's most influential players, beating out not only Wintour (#4), but also Lady Gaga (#2) and designer Derek Lam (#3).

While the list recognizes perennial fashion influencers like First Lady Michelle Obama (#6), Heidi Klum (#7), and Diane von Furstenberg (#9), it also includes more unexpected choices like the shopping app Shopkick (#7), London production company Gainsburg & Whiting (#12), Uniqlo creative director Todd Waterbury (#14), the Nowness digital magazine (#15), and Gilt Groupe (#24).

Showing some love for the blogosphere, Scott Schuman, Tumblr, and A Continuous Lean also make the cut, while the Duchess of Cambridge (#21) and Selena Gomez (#17) are given props for their trend-setting style.

The lesson here: Bagging a prince is all well and good, but it’s far better to scare away dates with your envelope-pushing style choices.

In related news, Style.com, which came in 18th place, is launching e-commerce.
