Instant gratification: The yet-to-launch Style.com magazine will provide exclusive online shopping access.

When reading all about it just isn't enough, why not add a little shopping to the mix?

Though it doesn't launch until October 31, Style.com's print magazine is already beefing up its offerings with an e-commerce initiative called The Instant Get.

By way of what's being described as an "in-book feature and online shop-the-runway program" readers will get first dibs on select Spring 2012 pieces from six designers (Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, Eddie Borgo, Rag & Bone, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Proenza Schouler), months before they hit stores. How thoughtful!

“We’re pleased to introduce the six gifted designers who have been chosen to participate in Style.com magazine’s new program, The Instant Get,” editor-in-chief Dirk Standen says in a press release.

“It’s a terrific opportunity for our readers to shop these exceptional items from the designers’ Spring 2012 collections well in advance of in-store availability. Style.com has always sought to deliver fashion information to our readers at the highest speed possible, and The Instant Get collection is the e-commerce extension of that.”

The runway finds (including a patterned Proenza Schouler tee, Jason Wu python bag, and Eddie Borgo gunmetal and garnet Pavé Pyramid Necklace) will be available for online purchase at www.style.com/magazine/instant.

Each designer’s selected item will be individually “unlocked” for sale over a six-day period, beginning November 2. Get 'em while they're hot!
