Proenza Schouler Launching Fragrance?
It’s probably safe to say that whatever Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez put their Proenza Schouler stamp on, fashionable followers of the brand will snatch it up in droves. So attention, Proenza lovers: You may soon have a fragrance to add to your collection of PS1 bags.
The company’s CEO, Shirley Cook, was profiled on beauty blog Into the Gloss, where she let slip that the label is looking to add a scent to its lineup.
“We’ve been researching perfume—eventually we’d like to have one—so I wanted to understand the market better and also understand what is nice and what isn’t nice,” she said.
Cook herself admits to not being much of a perfume wearer, but she does know what she likes.
“I like bath oils, and for a while that was pretty much the closest I’d get to wearing fragrance. This Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan perfume was a gift … I’ve really found that I like the Serge Lutens ones the most.”
Reps for Proenza Schouler had no comment.
