The CFDAs are behind us, but trend-forecasting giant WGSN is looking even bigger with the Global Fashion Awards.

The 2011 shortlist has just been released for the awards ceremony, and boldface names like Marc Jacobs, Phoebe Philo, Miuccia Prada, and Tom Ford are all on the list.

The Global Fashion Awards looks outside just designers, including categories like Outstanding New Store (VPL’s Soho, NYC, boutique and London’s Bond Street Miu Miu are among nominees); Most Creative Student Collection, which recognizes up-and-comers from Central Saint Martins, Parsons, and the Royal Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts; Outstanding Fashion Collaboration, which includes Karl Lagerfeld’s Diet Coke project and Opening Ceremony’s various partnerships; and Best E-tailer, which includes Net-a-Porter, Gilt Groupe, ASOS, and more.

Judges for the event include a variety of industry insiders, from Vogue.co.uk editor Dolly Jones to Banana Republic creative director Simon Kneen to Harvey Nichols buying director Averyl Oates.
