Chloë Sevigny and Opening Ceremony to Stage First Runway Show
Opening Ceremony’s dedicated following of super-stylish fans typically has to wait for something like a Terry Richardson–shot look book to know what they’ll be snapping up in the forthcoming season. Even though the boutique has its own private label, it’s never staged a runway show … until now.
According to Style.com, Chloë Sevigny will show her fourth collection for the hip shop with a full-scale runway show, to take place next month at a yet-to-be-revealed location.
“Right now I am focused on putting together my first runway show,” the Big Love actress and designer told the fashion site. “I’ve never done this part before and it’s a little scary, to be honest. I’m still in the early stages, but I have been looking at spaces, looking at models, and selecting the music and all of that. It’s pretty cool to be doing this.”
Sevigny may not have divulged any secrets about the look of the upcoming show, but if there’s anything to be learned from her previous three collections, it’s that she is her own best model. Expect plenty of pieces that would be perfectly at home in her closet!
