Jennifer Lopez Covers Glamour, Talks Still Loving Bronx Style
Well, hello, sailors!
Jennifer Lopez is looking ship-shape on the December cover of Glamour, rocking the nautical trend in a red Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony bustier paired with navy high-waisted pants and a chunky anchor necklace, both from Salvatore Ferragamo.
Inside, it's all hands on deck as lensman Matthias Vriens-McGrath snaps the multi-talented star in a navy Chris Benz skirt, white Ferragamo bandeau bikini layered over an Enzo Costa tank, and stacks of chain-link bracelets from Chanel, Pomellato, Verdura, and Lorraine Schwartz.
And though the 2011 Woman of the Year appears to still be wearing a wedding band in the shoot, much of her interview with former co-star Jane Fonda touches on bouncing back after her separation from Marc Anthony.
"I think I’ve finally learned the biggest lesson of all," the singer/actress says, adding that she'd like to start dating outside of the public eye (good luck!).
"You’ve got to love yourself first. You’ve got to be OK on your own before you can be OK with somebody else. You’ve got to value yourself and know that you’re worth everything. And until you value yourself enough and love yourself enough to know that, you can’t really have a healthy relationship.”
For now, Lopez has plenty to keep her busy, including her twins and her fashion line, which she says is influenced by her constantly evolving style.
"The things I liked when I was, like, 16 and in the Bronx—jeans, cut-up t-shirts—I still like," she says.
"But I’ve been exposed to so much now from traveling the world and seeing couture clothes. I used all of that when I created my new line for Kohl’s. My style has come from everything, from where I started to where I am today.”
Great. Now we have "Jenny from the Block" stuck in our heads.
