Francisco Costa Wants to Dress Kate Middleton
The Duchess of Cambridge has had her fair share of detractors when it comes to her fashion sense, but at least one industry heavy hitter wants to see Catherine in his designs.
"She's very Calvin, when you think about it," Calvin Klein creative director Francisco Costa told the Telegraph. "She's athletic looking, with great teeth and amazing hair—in many ways she looks like an all American Girl. So yes, I'm putting it out there: I'd love to dress her.”
While the royal seems to prefer brands like Zara, Reiss, and Topshop when it comes to everyday life (earning her the "Queen of High Street" title), she does indulge in high-end UK-based labels like Alexander McQueen, Erdem and Jenny Packham on occasion.
We’d certainly be pleased to see her in Costa’s creations—and his Spring 2012 collection did have plenty of those coat dresses the Duchess loves so much …
