Kate Middleton's Erdem Dress
It was a quick change at 30,000 feet.
The Duchess of Cambridge switched outfits during her flight to Ottawa, Canada, on June 30.
She began her first overseas tour as a newlywed with the Duke, William, wearing a navy lace dress by Erdem.
After leaving London in a crisply calibrated navy ensemble, the Duchess stepped off the plane in the deep blue dress, ready to kick off Canada Day celebrations.
The lace-overlay Cecile sheath is from the brand’s Pre-Spring 2011 collection. It’s a sartorially savvy political move, as designer Erdem Moralioglu was born in Montreal.
Catherine also changed from Manolo Blahnik heels into her trusty nude L.K. Bennett pumps with a slight platform and carried a matching clutch.
With these host-country choices, maybe the Duchess will wear some California clothes after all!
