Kate Middleton’s Roland Mouret Dress, Smythe Blazer, and Mulberry Bag
Thanks, designers, but Kate Middleton will be holding off on those California girl strapless jumpsuits and boho maxis for now.
Instead, the Duchess of Cambridge jetted off on her North American tour in a navy ensemble true to her signature sophisticated style.
Sporting bouncy curls, the royal went first class in Roland Mouret's Manon sheath, while a matching navy One-Button Blazer ($595) from Toronto label Smythe was a clever nod to her Canadian hosts.
But it wasn't all about maintaining good international relations. The Duchess' Mulberry Fall 2011 Polly Push Lock Tote in Midnight Shiny Grain (available for £895, or $1,434 U.S.) was a shout-out to British fashion and the runway (somebody's been reading her Vogue!), while her dark Manolo Blahnik Calogera heels left her standard L.K. Bennetts in the dust.
While the Duchess was a triumph in blue, her kid sister Pippa made her own fashion headlines after the red linen Hobbs dress she wore to Wimbledon on July 29 sold out.
We hope those rumored personal shoppers are getting raises.
