Kate Middleton’s Topshop Shopping Spree
The Duchess of Cambridge may favor Alexander McQueen for her formal functions, but when it comes to her everyday life, she’s a high street girl through and through—a fact proven yet again with a recent trip to Topshop.
Catherine spent about $150 at the Topshop on High Street Kensington in London, picking up a blue bouclé jacket with black velvet trim (below), a dark green pencil skirt with very Marc Jacobs-esque polka dots, and a pair of gold-tone feather earrings. (We suppose you can’t wear those diamond and sapphire drops all the time ... )
According to the retailer’s Web site, the jacket is already sold out, and the Daily Mail reports that the skirt and earrings are sold out as well. Reorder, please!
"She was low-key and casual—she seemed so normal," a Topshop employee told People.
"She was really chilled out despite some customers in the queue behind her saying, 'Oh my God it's her' and pointing—she didn't seem fazed by it all and she was really sweet."
Those are Duchess manners, for you.
