Kate Middleton Will Not Pose for Vogue
She’s the cover girl every editor would love to get, but the palace says that the Duchess' duties will prevent her from playing model.
A Page Six item that ran on September 26 alleged that American Vogue editor Anna Wintour was campaigning hard to get the royal trendsetter for her magazine, even reportedly enlisting the help of Mario Testino—who photographed Prince William and Catherine’s engagement and wedding portraits.
“Anna has been speaking to Mario about winning over Kate,” a source told the New York Post. “She is really pressing him to shoot Kate for the cover.”
But according to a palace rep, it’s all wishful thinking.
"There are no plans for the Duchess to do anything with U.S. Vogue," a spokeswoman for the palace told People. Instead, the "Queen of High Street" will focus on charity work, including opening a children’s cancer center with her husband later this week.
Don’t worry, Anna—there’s always Pippa.
