Golden girls: Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss for W.
Which cover will you pick? Models Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss each occupy a separate cover for W Magazine's July issue, and no matter which one you choose, you're bound to get a heavy dose of glamour.
"Everytime I see Karl Lagerfeld he’s always like, 'Karlie, have you stopped growing yet? Are you taller?'" the Americana Manhasset face says. Even though she's not being ribbed by a fashion figure such as the Kaiser, Kloss wasn't always so comfortable with her height.
"It used to be something I really disliked about myself, being tall and lanky, but it turned out to be the greatest asset I have—how uniquely weird I am."
We'll say—not so much about the weird part, but yes, this has worked out well, as evidenced by the stunning shots below.

The models both have legs for days...
Meanwhile, Smalls—having repped Estée Lauder, Chanel, and Lacoste among others—still feels she has a lot to prove, in spite of her rapidly growing resumé.
"I know I’m representing a group—black, Latin, whatever you want to put me with—and I want to show that they are beautiful the way they are," she says.
We can't think of a better person to do so.
The issue is available starting June 26.
