Karl Lagerfeld, Shu Uemura Team Up for Beauty Collection
After designing a color cosmetics range for European Sephora stores last holiday season, Karl Lagerfeld is looking to liven up our holiday wish lists with a brand-new beauty collaboration due out in November.
The major multitasker—seriously, when does this guy sleep?—has joined forces with Shu Uemura to create a limited-edition holiday beauty collection based on his "iconic, ironic style," Karl Lagerfeld president Pier Paolo Righi tells Women's Wear Daily.
Comprised of 17 products, the Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura range will feature colors and packaging selected by the Chanel designer. True to form, the part-time photographer has also shot the print campaign himself.
The products will be unveiled in September before shipping out to more than 400 Shu Uemura stores for its November launch. Price points have yet to be revealed.
Interestingly, it's not the first time Lagerfeld—who is currently promoting Chanel's Little Black Jacket exhibit—has been involved with the beauty brand. He has previously used the Japanese label's makeup to hand-color his illustrations "because other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colors.”
Hey, if it's good enough for Karl, it's good enough for us.
