Lindsey Wixson Wants to Be a Pastry Chef
Seriously, is there anything she can’t do?
First Lindsey Wixson told British Vogue that she aspires to be a singer, and now the 17-year-old It model has revealed that she’s cooking up plans to become a pastry chef.
“I remember my grandma teaching me how to make a pie and how to make fudge—pecan pie is very Kansas,” the Wichita-born beauty, who met her boyfriend in a donut shop, told Style.com. “Maybe I’ll do a cooking show? I’ll be like, ‘Bam!’”
Besides emulating Emeril and prepping for her pipes dream (“I have been listening to a lot of Frank Sinatra lately”), Wixson has also been entertaining flights of fancy about traveling a different runway.
“I also want to learn how to fly a plane,” the high school senior, who is currently working on getting her GED, told Style.com.
Just why does Wixson want to earn her wings?
“One, it’s better than sitting back in the back and not being able to see the whole view,” she told Women’s Wear Daily. “And I think it would be cool to just be able to fly wherever. If anything, you know, went wrong with the world, I could just fly away. I really like Amelia Earhart. She’s from Kansas. She disappeared, so I have to take her place. I want to be Dorothy. I want to be Amelia Earhart … I want to do it all.”
Geez—we were happy just to be working at Gap at her age.
