Pain is beauty, as they say, and model du jour Lindsey Wixson can certainly vouch for that.
The Kansas-born 16-year-old, who’s been the face of Versace, Miu Miu, and Mulberry, had an allergic reaction to makeup on March 5 and had to pass on the end of Paris Fashion Week to recuperate.
“I'm coming home tomorrow due to an allergic reaction to the make-up from the day before. :(,” Wixson tweeted March 6.
While she didn’t specify which show caused the problem, Styleite posits that the red-painted face at Viktor & Rolf was the culprit. Models’ faces were entirely covered with red pigment—an effect that took five different theatrical-makeup removers to take off, according to Style.com.
