One more and we’ve got a trend: Following the firestorm over J.Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons painting her son’s toenails in the company’s latest catalog comes Jennifer Lopez’s announcement that her little boy also likes to dress up his digits.

In the new issue of People magazine, the newly crowned World’s Most Beautiful Woman reveals that much like his twin sister Emme, 3-year-old Max has a passion for nail polish.

“He wants to paint his nails too,” says the L’Oréal Paris brand ambassador. “Because for him, it’s just paint.”

For others, it's a controversy. As FashionEtc previously reported, FoxNews got quite heated about the painted-toenail topic, quoting doctors and media researchers who called it “blatant propaganda celebrating transgendered children.”

Lopez, however, views it all as harmless fun.

While Lyons’s 5-year-old son Beckett is a fan of Essie’s hot pink polish, Max goes for cooler shades.

“He’s like, ’I want the blue!’” Lopez, who is married to singer Marc Anthony, says with a laugh. “Then Marc is like, ’Why are Max’s nails painted?!’ But [Max] won’t sit still so it’s only like two nails.”
