With the six-color Spring 2011 Brights Collection, which launches in May, OPI pays tribute to the fourth installment of Johnny Depp's sea-faring adventure (co-starring Penelope Cruz) with shades like Skull & Crossbones (pale gray), Mermaid's Tears (green), Stranger Tides (sage green), Planks a Lot (purple), Steady as She Rose (rosy pink), and Sparrow Me the Drama (bold pink).
The line also includes a graffiti-inspired Silver Shatter topcoat that creates a crackled, two-texture metallic finish.
“OPI is thrilled to celebrate the latest film in this beloved series,” Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director, says in a press release.
“The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides lacquers were inspired by a world filled with mythical mermaids, gleaming treasure, and high-seas adventure. With shades ranging from sage and lavender to khaki gray and pastel pink, these colors are evocative of a warm, tropical setting, with a classic nautical influence.”
We are so on board.
