Katy Perry Back for New Ghd Campaign
After rocking Elle's cover with purple locks, it's back to black for Katy Perry.
The pop star (a natural blonde, by the way) showcases a smooth, dark mane for her latest campaign as the face of ghd. And though her past ads for the hair product brand have been pretty theatrical to say the least—think flapper girls and hippie chicks—this time around Perry's keeping it tame with a simple and sophisticated black and white shoots that lets her hair take center stage.
The singer teamed up with photographer Ellen Von Unwerth for the glam shoot, which took place in L.A. at the end of her world tour. Posing in a sexy halter top and a white embellished dress, Perry shows off hairstyles ranging from bouncy curls to sleek side ponytails courtesy of stylist Danilo and an arsenal of ghd styling tools.
"It’s a pleasure working with Katy," Danilo says in a press statement. "She’s a young, vibrant artist who is really OK about being confident and seeing herself in different ways—extreme, vulnerable, kooky, sexy, expensive-looking but playful. She’s a beautiful woman so it’s inspirational."
