The "fabric of our lives" has found two high-profile new fans.
Emmy Rossum and Camilla Belle will follow in the footsteps of Kate Bosworth and Zooey Deschanel as the faces of Cotton Inc.'s new TV spots highlighting the versatility of cotton fashion in two major fashion capitals: New York City and Los Angeles.
For her Big Apple-set ad, Rossum croons the "Fabric Of Our Lives" tune as she traipses around the city in cotton designs from 3.1 Phillip Lim, Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, and Elie Tahari.
In "L.A. Story," meanwhile, things take a more laidback turn as Belle tap-dances in Prada, lounges in a hammock in Milly, grocery shops in Marc by Marc Jacobs, and takes a walk in Thakoon.

"Cotton is everyone’s hometown fabric, and we are delighted to have two such beautiful and talented young women represent the distinctive styles of their hometowns, which influence fashion trends across the United States," Glenn Sciachitano, director of advertising for Cotton Incorporated, says in a press statement.

"The range of cotton fashions in the commercials shows that whether you dress East Coast, West Coast or anything in between, cotton fits.”
The campaign will be supported by online features (available at TheFabricOfOurLives.com) such as a multimedia tour of Rossum's closet, blogs from Belle, behind-the-scenes footage, and song downloads.
Look for the commercials to begin airing on April 9.
