Erdem, Christopher Kane Design NEWGEN Tees for Topshop
A 10-year anniversary traditionally calls for a gift of tin. Luckily, the fine folks at Topshop have completely scrapped that idea in favor of an exclusive t-shirt range courtesy of Britain's most celebrated designers. Upgrade!
To celebrate a decade of supporting British fashion with the British Fashion Council's NEWGEN progam, the retailer has recruited NEWGEN alumni Erdem, Christopher Kane, BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner Jonathan Saunders, Gareth Pugh, Richard Nicoll, Louise Gray, Peter Pilotto, Mary Katrantzou, Ashish, Meadham Kirchhoff, House of Jazz, Marios Schwab, Roksanda Ilincic, Nasir Mazhar, Holly Fulton, JW Anderson, Peter Jensen, Emma Cook, Michael van der Ham, and Craig Lawrence to each design a tee which will hit stores on February 17 to coincide with London Fashion Week.
We're particularly smitten with Erdem's sweet lace-collared version, while Pugh's black and white geometric print is begging to be paired with black skinny jeans and biker boots.
Holly Fulton's squirrels and Emma Cook's butterfly-winged deer suggest an animal theme, and House of Jazz's hot pink "Donatella Says More!" slogan really can't be disputed.
Priced at £30 (about $47 U.S.) and available online and in U.K. shops, the tees will raise money for the homeless charity Centrepoint. Topshop is also hosting a giveaway via its Facebook page.
Feeling lucky? We certainly do.
