Ginnifer Goodwin Wears Topshop Dress to Met Costume Institute Gala 2011
Most of the dresses at the 2011 Met Costume Institute Gala—celebrating the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” exhibit—would cost you top dollar, but Ginnifer Goodwin’s slinky emerald stunner? Topshop!
The pixie-haired Something Borrowed star took to the red carpet in a super-sexy, custom silk twist-front gown from the British fast-fashion retailer's Unique line.
Goodwin, wearing frosty blue eye shadow and extra-long lashes, accessorized the cutout-and-slit-up-to-there dress with a a navy Kotur clutch; a 1964 Estate turquoise and pearl ring set in yellow gold and an Art Deco Zip necklace featuring turquoise, chrysoprase, chloromelanite, and diamonds set in white gold, both by Van Cleef & Arpels; and on-trend colorblock strappy sandals in navy, turquoise, and tan.
Also riding the Topshop trend for the annual fashion event: actresses Maggie Grace and Jessica Szhor.
