Met Costume Institute Gala 2011: Tracie Martyn Red Carpet Facials Were Order of Day
Skin will be in at the 2011 Met Costume Institute Gala in New York City.
Diane von Furstenberg, Lara Stone, Kate Winslet, Liv Tyler, and Michelle Monaghan are just a few of the famous faces who received Tracie Martyn’s signature Red Carpet Facial (starting at $387) for the powerhouse-packed fashion event, the beauty expert confirms to FashionEtc.
So just how does it work? Using a mild current, an oxygen infusion machine, and an LED light, the non-invasive treatment encourages collagen formation, reduces wrinkles, and helps to firm and contour the jaw line, cheekbones, and areas around the eyes.
Following their Red Carpet Facials, DVF et al. “looked radiant, lifted, and immaculate,” says the British-born, New York–based Martyn, who counts Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, and Madonna among her clients.
In addition to the revitalizing facials, “the Enzyme Exfoliant—a real-at home facial treat—was the product of the day,” she adds.
No wonder: The $90 scrub sloughs off dead skin cells, minimizes pores, and brightens complexions to give a youthful glow.
Though the gowns will definitely be a highlight of the event, we can’t wait to see Martyn’s clients in the flesh.
