Lindsey Wixson Covers Style.com/Print’s Inaugural Issue
Style.com’s much-anticipated foray into the print world, Style.com/Print, will launch on Monday, October 31—and a Nars Jungle Red-lipped Lindsey Wixson will be leading the welcome wagon.
The 17-year-old model—slash singer, slash pastry chef—covers the magazine’s inaugural issue, shot by fellow wunderkind Theo Wenner (the 24-year-old photographer and son of media magnate Jann Wenner), as part of a photo essay following Wixson from her hometown in Kansas through the international stretch of fashion month.
“We wanted to give the reader a sense of what it is like to go through the journey of the shows, from New York to London to Milan to Paris,” Dirk Standen, the site’s editor, told Eric Wilson of the New York Times.
The magazine also includes top 10 lists of collections, accessories, party animals, best-dressed, and more, selected by both Style.com editors and readers, plus features on Azzedine Alaïa and the boys of Proenza Schouler, street style courtesy of Tommy Ton, and maps of both geographical fashion capitals and the industries social circles—“from Miuccia Prada to Aziz Ansari in six degrees or less,” the site boasts.
Style.com/Print is available for purchase online, naturally, for $4.99 (or $6.99 after October 31), and will be sold for $14.99 at select newsstands and retailers like Kirna Zabete.
