Kate Moss Is Smokin' on Louis Vuitton Runway
How do you regain the Paris Fashion Week spotlight in the midst of the Dior drama? Sending a chain-smoking Kate Moss down the runway should do the trick.
Clad in black hot pants, leather gloves, lace-up heels, and a fur-sleeve, leather laser-cut jacket, the British supermodel made a surprise appearance at the Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 show, puffing on a ciggie as she sashayed down the catwalk.
Sporting dewy skin and a slicked-back ponytail with a black headband, Moss wasn't the only legendary model to suit up for the Marc Jacobs–designed, fetish-inspired collection, which featured crystal handcuffs and bellhop-style caps.
Naomi Campbell, Carolyn Murphy, Amber Valletta, and Carmen Kass also took to the runway, which was manned by male models in uniforms.
Of course, the Moss cameo does raise a few questions. Though she's the face of the just-launched Dior Addict campaign, she was a no-show at the Dior show.
The Daily Mail is also reporting that the model, who tapped former Dior designer John Galliano to create the wedding dress for her impending nuptials, is looking for a replacement.
So has she switched her loyalties to Louis Vuitton? And will we see her walking down the aisle in a leather-trimmed wedding gown with a bouquet of smokes courtesy of Marc Jacobs?
