Fergie Covers Allure, Reveals Beauty Secrets
So that's what Fergalicious looks like.
Last seen rocking a bondage-inspired Hervé Léger by Max Azria minidress at the Billboard Music Awards, pop star Fergie is back in another body-hugging black number from the designer for the July cover of Allure.
Fergie, who sports a subtle-bronzed beauty look for her cover shoot, also models racy numbers from Mugler, Panache, and La Perla as well as a Louis Vuitton Fall 2011 "foxy bellhop" runway look paired with DKNY garters for the fetish-themed fashion spread with photographer Norman Jean Roy.
But while the Outspoken fragrance star makes sexiness look easy in the sultry shoot, she insists that it takes a lot of hard work to achieve her enviable figure.
“Trust me, this isn’t as easy as it looks," the 36-year-old tells the magazine.
"My stomach is very hard for me, so if it looks really good, it’s because I’ve been working at it. And, gosh, I gain and lose weight everywhere from the thighs up. I think people think that I’m pregnant sometimes because my weight fluctuates. I’m not pregnant, if you want to know.”
There's something else the singer wants to clear up: She hasn't had plastic surgery.
"I heard about some ridiculous amount of money that I spent on my face, which I think is absolutely insane," she says.
Instead, she relies on a beauty regimen that includes weekly spray tans, Latisse to thicken her eyebrows (which she dyes brown), and contouring powder for her "unique" nose.

In addition to her own top-selling fragrance ("I stand behind the things I do"), the budding shoe designer's makeup bag is packed with essentials like Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation, L'Oréal Ripe Jelly Balm for the lips, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, and Advance Techniques by Avon, for which she serves as a spokeswoman.
Of course, the best beauty tricks aren't always sold at a counter.
“I’m definitely young at heart, and I always will be,” she says. “I’m just trying to age gracefully.”
