Eva Mendes Stars in Peek & Cloppenburg Catalog, Campaign, and Video
Katie Holmes isn't the only Hollywood heavy hitter flirting with a career as an international fashion catalog model.
European department store Peek & Cloppenburg has brought out the big guns—Eva Mendes—for its latest catalog and online campaign.
Marking a major departure from her steamy Calvin Klein Jeans ads, the sultry actress wears a variety of contemporary ensembles (including a form-fitting cobalt blue sheath and a tribal-print tunic) as she poses against a series of beachy backdrops evoking such "exotic" locales as Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Las Vegas, and, er, Coney Island.
Photographer Norman Jean Roy snapped the Los Angeles–set "Summer Style with Eva Mendes" shoot for the retailer, which has stores in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Serbia. (Watch the behind-the-scenes video above.)
"She truly stands for a feminine touch and emphasizes the trend we are pursuing in ladies' fashion," P&C stylist Ulrike Holtschlag says of Mendes in a clip.
And the bombshell, seen posing alongside male models Ben Hill and Tyson Ballou, isn't the only high-profile face to team up with the brand. Supermodel Carolyn Murphy can also be seen modeling the Summer 2011 collection, while Charlize Theron and Jason Lewis starred in the Fall 2010 campaign. Who knew?
