Fergie Talks Outspoken Intense, Beauty Must-Haves

Fergie has shown that her efforts in the beauty arena are not to be taken lightly—her début fragrance, Outspoken, is Avon’s best-selling scent to date, and the singer will be presented with the New Fragrance Celebrity of the Year Award at the Fragrance Foundation’s 39th annual Fifi Awards later this month.
The star’s ties to the industry go way back. “My grandmother was an Avon representative!” she tells FashionEtc of her beauty beginnings.
We’re sure she’s doing her grandmother proud. In addition to her celebrated perfume, Fergie is hard at work on a second scent, Outspoken Intense.
“Outspoken is all about that rush I feel through my whole body right before I go on stage,” she says. “Intense is about owning the moment—it’s about the nerves and excitement and exhilaration of performing in front of a crowd. It is a bold, fresh scent, very ‘rock and roll boudoir.’ It’s all about a woman who is true to herself and her beliefs—she’s modern, she’s confident, she needs no introduction, and above all, she’s fearless.”
She may be adding to her perfume arsenal, but her music fans needn’t worry that she’s neglecting her first passion. Asked if she had any future fragrances or cosmetic collaborations up her sleeve, she says, “Right now I’m just concentrating on the soon-to-launch Outspoken Intense. It really is satisfying for me to do something that is completely different from what I do as an artist, but as of right now I’m not working on any future beauty products.”
Of course, that doesn’t mean we couldn’t grill the glamour girl on her beauty go-tos.
“Advance Techniques Dry Ends Serum is a must-have for spring in my beauty regimen,” she reveals. “My hair becomes so dry between being out in the sun and constantly having my hair styled for tour, so a little pump of this serum brings life back to my dry ends.”
And to keep her pout perfect, she relies on Avon’s Glazewear lip gloss, which is equipped with SPF 15.
