4 P.M. Fashion Fix: Karen Elson in "Blue Orchid"
Reed Krakoff model (among many other catwalking gigs)/Nine West collaborator/stylish rug-cutter Karen Elson is, in case you're late to the game, a beyond-decent singer. We're not damning with faint praise: the fiery-headed Brit has a gorgeous voice, and as so many already-famous-in-other-fields folks are discounted when they pursue other endeavors, let's give credit where credit is due. Do yourself a favor and download her debut album, "The Ghost Who Walks."
With the announcement that she has lent her vocals to a Fleetwood Mac tribute album, let's mark the countdown with another musical throwback, long before the rest of us even knew she could strum a guitar.
"Rumours" (Fleetwood Mac pun alert!) have it, the model met now ex-husband, Jack White, on the set of his band's video for "Blue Orchid," where she catches our attention as a whirling dervish of frenetic red hair and gauzy, ethereal layers, atop teetering heels.
